Nancy Helen Pistun (nee Jones)

April 22, 1942 – May 1, 2026

Nancy passed at the age of 84 with family by her side.  Born in Weirdale, SK, to Margaret and George Jones, Nancy was the third child in a family of six siblings. Nancy received her schooling in Weirdale and then received her office diploma in Prince Albert where she worked at many office jobs before retiring at the age of 65.

Nancy met her true love, George Pistun. They spent all their time together hanging out at dances in the communities of Weirdale, Smeaton and Foxford.  They then married and spent 61 years together building a happy life with their children, Travis, Tracy and Harley.

Nancy was a proud Grandma to six grandchildren, Kennedy and Dale, Jessica and Scott, Ashley and Madison.  She was also Great-Grandma to Kinglsey and Beckett.  Nancy had a very special relationship with her son-in-law and daughters-in-law.

Crocheting and knitting was Nancy’s passion!  She knit many baby booties and hats, crocheted afghans and knitted dishcloths.  Nancy created, sold and gave away as gifts, many of her creations.

Nancy lived with dementia the last few years of her life.  She resided at Bethesda Care Home in Prince Albert where she was taken very good care of.  A very special thanks to Valentina, her staff and all of Nancy’s friends in the care home for making her feel comfortable, loved and at home.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered and very missed by her three children, Travis, Tracy (Ken), and Harley (Patty); her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; her siblings, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.

It is Nancy’s request that no funeral service be held.  A Private Family gathering will be held at a later date.
