Myrtle Agnes Beckman

BECKMAN- Myrtle Agnes (Aspvik), late of Paddockwood. It is with deepest sadness that we announce that Myrtle Agnes Beckman, beloved wife of Ken Beckman, passed away in the Herb Bassett Home on December 3, 2010 with her loving family by her side. Myrtle was born in Lost Lake, Montana September 4, 1920. She immigrated to Paddockwood, SK with her family in 1926. In 1940, she married the love of her life Ken Beckman. They raised their family in the loving home which dad built on the farm. Friends and family were always welcomed to their home with open arms and there was always room for more at the table. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress, and she was always knitting and crocheting something for her family. Myrtle and Ken remained on the farm until retiring to Prince Albert in 1998.
Myrtle was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Family was very important to her and she leaves to mourn her loving husband of 70 years: Ken Beckman; her sons: Elwin (Pat) Beckman of Saskatoon, Ray (Barlette) Beckman of Paddockwood, John Beckman (Mindy Garcia) of Saskatoon; her
daughters: Kathleen Brown ( Brian Buchanan) of Prince Albert, Dianne (Kurt) Chesley of Prince Albert; and her daughter-in-law Sandra Beckman of High River, AB; her grandchildren: Darrin (Darla) Brown and their children Taran and Tiarra of Prince Albert, Lynnette (Michael) Lewendon and their children Hunter and Bridget of Saskatoon, Blake Beckman ( Sarah Woods) of Medicine Hat AB, Bart (Brenda) Beckman and their children Joshua and KayLyn of LaRonge , Brett (Jeanette) Beckman and their son Tyler of Beattie, John Beckman (Andrea Burton) of McLean, Sarah (Lee) Walker of Prince Albert, Trevor Beckman of Calgary AB, Mark (Roxanne) Beckman and their children Katherine and Charlotte of Houston, TX, Kent (Beth) Beckman and their children Leif and Liam of Vernon BC, Rebecka Chesley of Prince Albert, Lisa Rideout and her son Logan of White Fish MT; her brothers: Victor (Mary) Aspvik of Prince Albert, Helmer( Lois) Aspvik of Paddockwood; her sisters: Alietha (Earl) Beckman of Lawrence KS and Gladys Kuzyk of Lannigan,SK. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother and father Hazel and Alfred Aspvik, her brother Richard Aspvik, her sister Helen Thompson, an infant sister Alice Aspvik, her son-in-law Bruce Brown, her mother-in-law and father-in-law Sarah and Lester Beckman, brothers-in-law Robert Thompson and John Kuzyk. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday December 9 at Northern Funeral Service, MacKenzie Chapel. Interment will follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It is the family’s request that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
