Moe was born in Prince Albert, SK and raised on a farm nine miles east of the city. He attended school in Cecil and completed high school at East Central. After graduation he was hired as a teller at the Imperial Bank of Commerce in P.A. He later moved to Edmonton where he worked in the wholesale grocer trade. In Edmonton he married Dorothy Johnston of Prince Albert and started his family. Being somewhat of a wonderlust in his soul, they moved to Calgary and in 1965 Moe began to serve an apprenticeship with the International Association of Ironworkers Local 725 to become a journeyman Ironworker. As a journeyman, Moe first worked his trade throughout Alberta, Sask and B.C. He enjoyed traveling the world of iron and eventually made his way to the US. During his tenure in the US, he worked in Wyoming, Nevada, Washington, Colorado and California before returning to Prince Albert where he retired from the trade. During retirement Moe rekindled his love of golfing and fishing and spent countless hours on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River near and around Prince Albert. With the encouragement from his family, Moe decided to relocate to Swift Current to be closer to his family to live until his passing at the young age of 76 years. A family gathering will be held at a later date. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
