Muriel Ellen Ross was born on Monday, July 4, 1938 in Little Hills, SK and passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 in La Ronge, SK at the age of 79 years. Muriel is survived by her loving family: her sister, Louisa Ross; her brothers, Cornelius Ross; her special sister, Susan Roberts; her special brother, Archie Roberts; her special children, Stanley Ross, Christopher Halkett, Adrienne Ross, William Roberts, Serena Ross, John D. Ross, Jeremiah Ross, Abigail Ross and Valerie Roberts; her uncle, Charlie Ross; and her godchildren, Jason Charles, Elizabeth Ross and Melissa Ross; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, special grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley & Mary Ann Ross; her husband, Moses Halkett; her sisters, Harriet Charles, Charlotte Roberts, Deliah Ross and Caroline Ross (in infancy); her special brother, William V. Ross; her maternal grandparents, Peter & Eliza Ross; her paternal grandparents, Jemima Ross and Jeannie Roberts-Ross; her aunts, Maryanne Roberts and Francis Charles; and her brothers-in-law, Simon Charles, Jacob Roberts and David Z. Ross. A wake service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Charlie Halkett Memorial Band Hall in Hall Lake, SK. Muriel’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Archdeacon John McKay Anglican Church in Hall Lake, SK. Interment to follow at Hall Lake Anglican Church Cemetery.
