Therese Mary Paradis (née Lavoie)

1944 – 2024

Therese Mary Paradis passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 15, 2024 at the age of 80 years.

Therese was born on August 24, 1944.  She was the eldest daughter to Lucienne and Edmond Lavoie.

Therese married Albert Paradis on August 21, 1965 in Albertville at St. James Parish.  They raised their three children Rose-Maire, Julien, and Normand on the family farm.

After raising her family, Therese, through hard work and dedication proudly received her GED.  Shortly after she proceeded to get her CCA Certificate from SIAST.  After 10 years at the Presentation of Mary Infirmary, she retired to continue her passions of knitting, gardening, preserving, and baking.

The family farm is where we all gathered, laughed, ate, and shared.  Therese was always prepared to feed any surprise visitors and made sure no one ever left hungry.

Therese is survived by her daughter Rose-Maire Paradis and her daughters Tyra-Lee Parenteau (Travis) and Zoie Parenteau (Jordan); her son Julien (Leanne) Paradis and their children Eric Paradis (Shade), Kile Paradis (Jenna), and Reneé Paradis (Dylan); her son Normand (Teri) Paradis and their children Samantha (Lukas) Dueck and Brianna Paradis (Hunter); her great grandchildren Ainsley and Addison Paradis, and Jason and Simon Dueck; her siblings Ernest (Francis) Lavoie, Michael (Marion) Lavoie, Elie (Sheila) Lavoie, and Rachel Culloden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Paradis; her parents, Lucienne and Edmond Lavoie; her siblings Henry Lavoie, Denise Purdy, and Evelyn Lavoie.

A Celebration of Therese’s Life will be held at St. James Parish, Albertville, SK on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
