Louise Gale
March 6,1930 – Feb 4, 2026
The family of Louise Gale would like to announce her peaceful passing at Good Shepherd Villa on Wednesday, Feb 4, 2026 a month short of her 96th birthday.
Louise Georgina Gale (nee Fisher) was born on March 6th, 1930 along with her twin brother Louis to George and Jessie Fisher. Louise was 9th/10th of 14 children.
Louise attended school in Brightholm and completed her grade 10 before starting a short career with the Singer Sewing Company where she learned to be an excellent seamstress.
She loved dancing which is where she met the love of her life Cc Gale. They were the best double step polka dancers in the country!
Cc and Louise married on Oct 24,1950 and moved to Edmonton. They lived there for 3 years before moving back to the Wild Rose district to make their fortune in farming!
They were blessed with four children – Bev, Linda, Gary and Sandra.
Louise was an avid gardener and kept her flowers and yard in perfect shape. She was wonderful with people and shared her kindness with the residents she cared for at Parkland Terrace in Shellbrook for 10 years.
Louise was an amazing baker and cook and hosted Christmas dinners till she was in her 80’s. She enjoyed picking blueberries which she transformed into the most amazing pies.
In 2001 Cc and Louise moved into Prince Albert where she continued to maintain a garden and her home until she was 90 years old. She lost Cc in Jan, 2017 and moved into a care home in 2020.
She will be remembered for her feistiness, love of curling and the Riders, and for savouring good food. She delighted in having her family visit and enjoyed making miles around Good Shepherd with her walker until days before she passed. She was fortunate to have good health and an attentive mind till the end.
Louise was predeceased by her husband Cc in 2017.
Louise was the last surviving child of George and Jessie Fisher and is survived by her children Beverly Spence (Butch), Linda Edington (Philip), Gary Gale(Cathy), Sandra Fountas (Fotios) as well as her grandchildren Tyler Spence (Amber) and Sienna and Avery, Jodi Fiddler (Ritchie) and Thomas, Rylee and Zaylee, Afton Keys (Adam) and Malia, Kylie Forrester (Brett) and Bryce and Noa, Corey Edington (Kennedy), Sierra Gale (Owen), Cassidy Gale (Francois), Yiannis Fountas, Nico Fountas (Lanna) and Louizo Fountas and his daughter Blakney.
The family would like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Villa for the kindness and attentive care of our mom and their caring support of our family.
