1939 – 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Lois Anne Simpson (nee Cheeseman) announce her peaceful passing on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the age of 85 at the Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home.
Lois was born in Shellbrook January 16, 1939 to Annie and Edwin Cheeseman.
She married Allan Simpson on September 13, 1958 in Prince Albert and they were married for 57 years. Together they raised 4 children.
Left to mourn her passing are her children Jeffrey (Margaret) Simpson and their children Daniel and Stephanie (Jessie) Chornohus; Cheryl (Ken) Toll and their children Mathew (Keli) , Jason (Ashley) and their children Zoey and Colton, and Sarah (George) Meier; Jamie (Cheryl) and their children Christine and her son Emery, Justin (Jessica) and their children Bennett, Lily and Arlo; Karen (Bruce) Ede and their children Lindsay (Pat) Senger and their daughter Jordyn, David Romanycia, Nicole and daughter Emily Ede, Vanessa (Brandt) Miller and their children Zoey, Reid and Miles; her sisters Gloria (Wayne) Stanton and Janet (Duane) Hackl; and her brothers Lester Cheeseman, Jerry (Rita) McAteer, and Dennis (Sue) McAteer .
Lois lived life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling with her sister Gloria, playing cards, gardening and time at Candle Lake with family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Rosthern Mennonite Nursing Home.
The Celebration of Lois’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Grays Funeral Chapel, 575 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. She will be laid to rest at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
