Grace Jones

December 7, 1937 – February 21, 2025

 

It is with deep sadness and love, the family announces the passing of Grace Irene Jones, on February 21, 2025.  She was born in Eston, Saskatchewan, on December 7, 1937. Grace met her husband Gordon in Eston and they shared 50 years together until his passing. They built a life filled with family, travel adventures, especially at their Emma Lake cabin. Grace’s legacy survives through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known for her appreciation of life’s simple pleasures, like a feisty game of gin rummy, fresh berries, a good ice cream cone, a freshly picked bouquet of flowers and her ability to make every moment special. Predeceased by her husband, and grandson Les, she leaves behind her children Doug (Terry), Joanne (Bart), Don (Denise), and Ron (Barb); her brother Gordon James (Shirley),  sister in law Mary Ellen Jones; her grandchildren Corky, Krista, Jayman, Brennan, William, Adam, Jory, Nathan, Cassie, Mitchell, and Marissa; and 17 great-grandchildren. Her presence always made the moment feel extra special.  She has left an indelible mark on all of us, reminding us to love deeply, laugh often, and cherish every moment.  Grace will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. The family thanks the staff at Good Shepherd Villa and Dr. Gordon Surkan for their care. A private family gathering will be held this summer in celebration of her life.
