August 14, 1938 – February 9, 2022
Our beloved Claudia passed on February 9, 2022 in Prince Albert, SK. She led a selfless life full of love for family, cherished friends and all who were in her care.
Claudia grew up in Regina was educated at Sacred Heart Academy, Regina Grey Nun’s, McGill University and the University of Calgary where she earned a Bachelor of Nursing and Business Admin. She played basketball, swam, walked every day, played bridge and had a passion for volunteering.
Claudia had a rich and rewarding career in health care as a Registered Nurse for over fifty years. She nursed in Regina, Honolulu, Montreal, Calgary, Prince Albert, Fond-du-Lac, Wollaston and Black Lake. Claudia held many challenging roles such as District Manager for P.A. Pineland Home Care, Director of Care for Herb Bassett Nursing Home, and Public Health Nurse for P.A. Health Board. She was knowledgeable, an effective leader and valued compassion in all she did.
Claudia was predeceased by her beloved husband Maurice Driscoll, parents Joseph and Gabrielle Dupmeier, brother Teddy, sister Suzanne (Jim) Greathead, nephew and niece Thomas Greathead and Claire Greathead.
Claudia is survived by her sister Diane (Tom) McClocklin, nieces and nephews June (Dave) Beckett, David (Sharon) Greathead, Mary-Jo (Brad) Devine, Susan (Tom) Stevenson, Tom (Keitha) McClocklin and Katherine (Andy), Lauren, James, Gabriella; Jessica, Stephanie, Joseph; Alexander, Sophie, Henry; Parker, Marisa and great-great niece Bonnie.
Claudia was a beautiful and cherished woman who shone light in the world and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with reception to follow. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, donations in Claudia’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan, 301 -2550 – 12th Ave., Regina SK S4P 3X1.
