Ann Labiuk
1932 – 2024
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Ann Labiuk on April 2nd 2024, at the Herb Basset home at the age of 92. Predeceased by the love of her life Johnny in 2001, life was never the same without her dear husband.
Together they had a deep love of animals and gardening. They had many adventures together, golf during the summer and season tickets for the Raiders in the winter, where they got to know their dear friends Walter and Evelyn Augustine.
Ann and Johnny loved to travel on many trips heading south to some of their favorite destinations whether it be driving themselves or taking a group bus trip.
Their love of travel began with ExPo 67 in Montreal then continued on to several trips to Las Vegas, casino Mahnomen, Nashville, the Grand old Opry, Memphis, also visiting Graceland, Dollywood and Disneyland, these were just some of their favourites to name a few. After Johnny passed and Evelyn lost her husband Walter, Ann and Evelyn continued their friendship going on numerous shopping trips together, they enjoyed many, many cups of coffee with the other lady friends usually at Smitty’s or Burger King.
Ann is survived by her sisters Pauline Sklarson and Rose Baliski, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Adam and Mary Bedry, her husband Johnny, brothers Harry and Bill, an infant brother Alexander, and brothers-in-law Nick Sklarson and Steve Baliski.
May Ann be reunited with all the people she loved dearly.
Heaven has gained an angel with a heart of gold.
Love you forever.
