Terry Thoms
1946 – 2026
The children of Terry Allan Thoms are saddened to announce the passing of our dad on Friday, May 8, 2026. Dad was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, and made his home in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan most of his life.
Dad is survived by his three children: Bryan (Jodi) Thoms and children Hannah, Lauren, and Halle; Jackie (Blayne McKay) Thoms; Terri Lynn (Ian) Mundorf; and his trucking companion dog, Shea. He is also survived by his youngest sister, Adelle Thoms and many nieces and nephews.
Dad is predeceased by his parents, Steve and Maria Thoms; and his siblings Irwin Thoms, Rosemary Mitchell, Elizabeth Thoms, Lee-Anne Thoms, Morris Thoms, and Arnold Thoms.
We are grateful for the 80 years we had with Dad—for his guidance, kindness, and generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. We have thankful hearts for the compassion, strong values, and work ethic he instilled in us and in anyone fortunate enough to meet or work with him. Over the years, Dad mentored many young and aspiring loggers and farmers, who appreciated his wisdom and mentorship. He loved his family homestead and remained active in the logging and farming industry until very recently.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nursing staff who cared for Dad with love and compassion during his short stay in the hospital.
To celebrate Dad’s life, we invite you to cook a hearty Ukrainian meal with plenty of perogies, cabbage rolls, garlic, and onions, and to enjoy the music of Alan Jackson.
A private graveside service will be held for the family. A Memorial Reception will follow on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the East End Community Club, 205 10th Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK. Please join the family between 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm to offer condolences and share stories of our dad.
