Ronald Allan Myers

November 30, 1950 ~  July 20, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Myers announce his peaceful passing on July 20, 2021 at his Elk Ridge home at the age of 70 after a short battle with cancer.

Ron was born on November 30, 1950 in Brussels, Ontario and moved with his family to Saskatoon in 1961.  He retired from Federated Cooperatives Ltd. in 2007 after 33 years of service.  Ron was an active member of the Elk Ridge Men’s Golf Club and cherished the summers golfing with Coleen. They golfed many rounds during the summer at Elk Ridge, and in the winter at Palm Creek Resort in Casa Grande, Arizona.  An avid poker player, Ron spent countless hours teaching other snowbirds how to play the game.

Ron was a big Rider, Blue Jays and passionate Maple Leafs fan as well as a regular member of the Men’s Coffee Club in Waskesiu where they discussed and came up with solutions for the world’s problems.

Ron is survived by his: wife, Coleen; sons, Darcy (Erin) and Ryan (Sandra); grandchildren, Ben, Cameron, Jordan and their mother Marsha, NJ, Peyton, Serena and Ayden; and sisters, Liz Balser, Fran (Bill) McQuarrie, Irene (Bob) Richmond and Mae (Paul) Chometsky.

Ron was predeceased by his: father, Dr. Charles; mother, Anne; sister, Lil Guckert; and brother-in-law, Lev Balser.

A celebration of life will be held at the Church in Elk Ridge on Wednesday, July 28^th at 1:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Memory of Ron to the Canadian Cancer Society (#2 – 630 45th Street West, Saskatoon SK S7L 5W9).  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
