Robert “Bob” Hamill
1948 – 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Hamill on September 24, 2025, at the age of 77 years.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by sister Cathy Anderson, nieces Laura (Michael) and Krista (Rick), nephew Michael, grandnephews Jack and Dominic, and grandniece Kallie. He is predeceased by his mother Alice and father Ralph, along with infant brother David.
Bob was born on April 30, 1948, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He graduated high school from P.A.C.I. in 1966 and then attended the Fine Arts program at the University of Regina. In later years, he earned a Multimedia certificate from SIAST. He enjoyed gardening, photography, painting, woodworking, reading, and model trains. As a child, Bob loved spending time at the family cabin at Emma Lake and vacations to the Rocky Mountains. In recent years, he looked forward to going to Candle Lake each summer to stay with his sister Cathy. Bob devoted many years caring for his mother so she could continue to live in her home.
He spent his final five years living at Weldon Country Villa. We extend our gratitude to the Weldon staff for the exemplary care they provided Bob. Thank you also to Victoria Hospital 6th floor staff and the Rose Garden Hospice.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date with interment at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Weldon Cooperative Care Home, PO Box 220, Weldon, Saskatchewan S0J 3A0, (306) 887-2888, wchvilla@sasktel.net
