Raymond Steffensen
1938 – 2024
It is with profound sadness that the family of Raymond Steffensen announce his passing at the age of 86 years. He passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Patty (Tom) and Barbara (Al); daughter-in-law, Colleen; grandchildren, Micheal, Kaylee, Kelly, Brittany, Mitchell, Tiffany, and Dustin; and great grandchildren, Kinsten, Kashton, Carter, Colson, and Walker. He is also survived by his brother George (Anne) Steffensen.
Ray was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Norma; his loving son Kenneth; parents Hilda and Sigurd Steffensen; brothers, John, Ernie, Harold, and his twin brother Robert.
Raymond was a special husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was one of a kind with a strong personality and good sense of humour. He always said what was on his mind, whether it was good or bad and you were never surprised by it. He was a loving father who always supported his children and family.
Raymond enjoyed camping with his family, bowling, playing cards, and curling. Dad and Mom loved to curl and spent lots of time at the rink. He loved to watch sports on tv; especially curling, hockey, the Riders, and always the Blue Jays.
Many thanks to the staff of the Herb Bassett Care Home where he resided and a special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the I.C.U department at the Victoria Hospital. The care they provided was caring and supportive.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Grays Funeral Chapel, 575 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. A luncheon will be served after the service.
