Mr. Maurice Fletcher Fosseneuve

Maurice Fletcher Fosseneuve was born on May 23, 1949 in The Pas, Manitoba. He was raised by his grandma, the late Eliza Fosseneuve, who he called “Mom”. He married Wanda Richard on June 3, 1972. They were blessed with 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Maurice leaves to mourn his children Cynthia (Pat) Chaboyer, Eugene (Dorothy) Fosseneuve, Rochelle (Conrad) Garrioch, Leighton Fosseneuve and Jay Fosseneuve; his grandchildren Ariana, Tessa, Patrick, Chataya, Ferris, Brandon, Whitney, Desiree, Veronica, Logan, Christian, Jordan; his chapans Tallandus, Zaiden and Taneah; his aunts Judy Cook, Mary Pacey, Hilda Dorian; his uncles Leonard Fosseneuve, Peter Fosseneuve (Achus); his brother Charlie Fosseneuve and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He also leaves to mourn his friend Victoria Spence; his other children Randy, Arnold, Shawna, Dana and Amber; his aunts and uncles Judy Cook, Mary Pacey, Hilda Dorion, Leonard Fosseneuve, Peter Fosseneuve (Achus) with numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends; his godchildren Abigail Deschambeault, Jane Laliberte. Maurice was well known as Fletcher or Jack by many. He was very friendly, humorous and enjoyed outdoor activities. He loved to tell stories and jokes to people. As a chef, his cooking was enjoyed by his family and friends. He was a very educated man and loved to share his knowledge with other people. He was a teacher associate at St. Michael Community School during the past 11 years. He worked various occupations throughout his life. He was very proud of his family and always gave what he always could. He was always there when he was needed and when it counted the most. He had a smile that was very contagious. He had many skills such as hunting, fishing, cooking and was always a good provider. He passed on with his wife, children, grandchildren, his brother, his friend Vicky by his bedside. He was predeceased by his grandparents Felix and Eliza Fosseneuve; his mother Lucy Fosseneuve-Sterritt; his aunt Margaret Sewap; his sister Rochelle Fosseneuve; his nephews William and Chris Fosseneuve, his uncle Soloman Dorian “Neestow”, his cousin Brian Bignell, Rose Fosseneuve. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28 from St. Michael Community School Gym. Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28 from Senator Allen Bird Gym, Wednesday and Thursday, September 29 and 30 from LCA Village Hall Cumberland House. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 1 from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Cumberland House. Rosie Dussion will officiate.
