Leon Robin
1937 – 2024
The family of Leon Noe Robin sadly announce his passing on September 21st, 2024 at 12:51 a.m. at Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 87.
Dad was born and raised in D’Amour District in the Rural Municipality of Leask, Saskatchewan to Arthur and Marie Ann Robin (nee Dagenais). He had four brothers (Paul, Oliver, Emile and George) and four sisters (Therese, Rita, Olive and Lucille).
Dad enjoyed sports. He played hockey, baseball and he curled. He found his passion of working on motors at an early age and learned the trade from his older brother’s. In the early years Dad farmed and opened Robin Motor’s on Main Street in Leask.
Dad decided to move to Prince Albert in the mid 60’s and secured employment at Modern Motors. Dad continued to farm up until the late 70’s. Dad would hold various positions at garages including the Fire Control Centre in Prince Albert.
In 1966, Dad married our Mother Audrey Ferster, also from Leask. It was then that they started the dream of raising their own family and embarking into parenthood. Dad was very proud of his children and grandchildren, and his favourite pastime was watching us play sports.
Dad is predeceased by his wife, Audrey. He is survived by son, Bradley (Tammy), and granddaughters, Taylor, Melissa (Ryan), and Kayla (Tyler), and great grandchildren; son, Patrick (Donna), and grandsons Brady and Lukas; daughter Cindy Hall (Craig), and grandsons Brennan (Megan) and Carson (Matycin).
In the last few months of his life Dad continued to tinker around with small motors in his yard. In the last month Dad was able to spend quality time with his family thanks to the exceptional care and experience he received at Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert. We are full of immense gratitude to all of the wonderful staff. We ask that any considered donations be made to Rose Garden Hospice (https://www.rosegardenhospice.ca/) in memory of Dad.
A private service will be held at a later date.
