In Loving Memory of Keith Bear
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Keith Bear, on Sunday February 25, 2024. Keith, a soul who embraced life with an infectious joy, left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born on September 4, 1963, Keith’s journey was adorned with a deep passion for music, his favorite melodies often weaving through the fabric of his life. Pink Floyd’s timeless tunes were the soundtrack to his existence, resonating with the rhythm of his heart. His love for music mirrored his love for people, as he was a remarkably outgoing and talkative individual. Keith had an uncanny ability to connect with others, finding joy in shared moments over a cup of coffee.
Having achieved his Grade 12 education and enrolled in university during his earlier years, Keith exhibited a commitment to personal growth and learning. However, his journey was marked by the shadows of mental health struggles, a battle he faced courageously since adolescence until his untimely passing.
Keith’s zest for life was most evident in his love for family gatherings, where he reveled in the warmth of kinship and the joy of celebrating special occasions. His birthday, a perennial highlight, became a cherished tradition filled with laughter, love, and the echoes of shared memories.
Now, as Keith joins the Star People, we take solace in knowing he is embraced with open arms by our mother, Gail Bear. She, who long expressed, “He never asked for this,” now welcomes him into a realm where pain and struggles are no more.
In our hearts, Keith’s spirit lives on – a melody of love, laughter, and the enduring connection that transcends the boundaries of time and space. May he find the peace that eluded him on this earthly journey.
The Wake service to celebrate Keith’s life will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 7p.m. at the Band Hall at Muskoday First Nations. The funeral will be held on Friday, March 1st at 1:00pm. at the Muskoday Band Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association (Saskatchewan Division) Inc. An organization dedicated to supporting mental health initiatives.
Forever in our hearts, Keith Bear will be remembered for the vibrant soul he was and the love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
