James Terrance Walker

March 1, 1952 ~ March 10, 2022 

James Terrance Walker beloved husband of Laurie, Dad to Tony and Brandi, Grampa to Haley and Dillon.  Jim passed away March 10, 2022 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 70 years after a brief illness.

Jim made many friends during his career with CIBC which took us to many towns and cities in Saskatchewan.  We purchased the cabin at Anglin Lake while living in Melfort and were promptly transferred to Maple Creek, 6 ½ hours away!

Jim’s focus turned to golf and woodworking in his retirement.  Many beautiful pieces of furniture came out of his shop and are still being enjoyed by family members.  He loved being involved with Golf Saskatchewan as a Rules Official and playing the game with the Senior Men’s Clubs at Cooke and Waskesiu golf courses.  He is now happily playing the game he loved in his new home in Heaven.

Jim is survived by his dearly loved wife Laurie; children Tony and Brandi (Larry) Peever; grandchildren, Haley Walker and Dillon Richardson; brother and best friend, Shane (Maria Jochmaring); sisters, Susan (Don Wilson) and Shannon Grams; brother-in-law, Murray (Ruth) Peters; as well as much loved nephews, nieces and their families and many dear friends.

Jimmie had an open and tender heart.   To all who knew and loved him…. Close your eyes and feel his hug.

Donations to a cause dear to Jim may be made to waskesiufoundation.ca or P. O. Box 242, Saskatoon, SK  S7K 3K4.  Please designate your gift to be used for improvements to the Waskesiu Golf Course.  Tax receipts will be issued for gifts of $25.00 or more.
