George “Bordie” Adams
December 23, 1938 ~ June 1, 2022
With heavy hearts we announce the death of George “Bordie” (Borden) Adams at the age of 83 on June 1, 2022 at Good Shepherd Villas in Prince Albert, SK. The son of Louis and Gertrude Adams born December 23, 1938 in Prince Albert. Bordie married Beverly Sherwin April 23, 1960.
After grade school Bordie went to work in the warehouse at Eaton’s, then at Revelstoke Lumber, Carlings, and then on to Molson’s in sales throughout the province until his retirement.
Bordie’s life revolved around sports. He excelled at baseball, hockey, and golf. He was inducted to the Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame in 2005 as a member of the 1960/61, 1961/62, 1962/63 P.A. Anavets Senior Hockey Team.
To fill his time after retiring he enjoyed part time employment, coffee with the boys and a daily round of golf, weather permitting… or not!! A 2019 stroke did not deter him from enjoying the game he loved. As a resident of Good Shepherd Villas, he was always able to find a way to the golf course.
Bordie is survived by his wife Bev; children Kelly (Lana) of Shellbrook, SK, Kent (Mona) of Beaumont, AB and Kim (Tony) of Clovis, NM; his grandchildren Jessica and James and great grandson J.J.(Julian); brother Roy (Gwen) of Courtenay, BC.
He is predeceased by his parents, his dogs Chimo and Mikki that brought him so much joy as well as numerous family and friends. Bordie will be fondly remembered for many things, most obviously his legendary profile.
