Earl Hardisty Williams
(1931 – 2024)
Earl Hardisty Williams, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Hafford Care Home at the age of 92.
Dad was born April 30, 1931 to Clayton “Shorty” and Violet Williams in Mont Nebo, SK. He was the oldest of 3 kids. In his younger years Dad loved horses, especially his horse Babe. You could always find him and Babe transporting kids to and from school in Mont Nebo.
Earl married and raised a family of four in Prince Albert. Dad worked in the hospitality industry for many years at the Marlboro Hotel and The Golf and Curling Club. Dad left the hospitality industry and started a new career with the Prince Albert Dry Cleaners where he retired in 1986.
Dad fell in love with Una Sutton of Snowden, SK and welcomed a family of seven. Dad and Una retired to Macdowall, SK where he became a member of the Lions Club. Dad and Una enjoyed playing Kaiser with the Seniors Group out in Macdowall where we are sure there were a few discussions about his cheating! Dad was also an active AA Member since 1975.
Dad loved the outdoors especially camping and canoeing in and around the Mont Nebo area, which he talked about often and fondly. Dad was proud of many things but his greatest accomplishment were all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dad is survived by his wife of 38 years Una; his children Theresa (Marcel) Carriere of Prince Albert and family, Gerry (Mark) Layton of Sherwood Park, AB and family, Larry (Lori) Williams of Prince Albert and family, Craig (Christine Cembrowski) Williams of Macdowall, SK, Sharron (John) Dyck of Saskatoon, SK and family, Debbie (Frankie) Duguay of St Albert, AB and family, Penny MacDonald of St Albert, AB and family, Valerie Petit of Edmonton, AB and family, Kathy (Wayne) Van Hagen of Saskatoon, SK and family, Joseph (Terry Orton) Racicot of Regina, SK, and Andre Racicot of Edmonton, AB and family; many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his sister Eva Sinclair of Edam, SK and family.
He was predeceased by his parents Clayton and Violet, brother Lawrence, daughter-in-law Connie Williams, and son-in-law Roland Petit.
The Family would like to thank the Hafford Long Term Care Home for the care and compassion that they have shown Dad these past 2 years.
