It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Morris on Wednesday June 12th. Morris was born in Prince Albert, on September 26,1970. While attending Carleton High School, Morris began working at MacKenzie Funeral Home. After graduation this honorable profession became his chosen career. Morris displayed compassion, integrity and respect at all times in his career. In 2002 Morris became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. After 21 years in the profession he loved, he retired in 2008 due to illness. In 1995 he met the love of his life, Carrie Tubman; they married in 2004 and were blessed with the birth of their son, Harlen in 2009. Morris had many interests through the years, with time spent at the family farm, road trips and ice fishing as well as investing in real estate. Morris’ great sense of humor and his practical jokes were enjoyed by all who knew him. Morris was a loving husband to Carrie and cherished his time with his little angel Harlen. Morris is survived by his loving wife, Carrie and son Harlen; parents, John and Elaine Hrynenko; brother, Michael Hrynenko; mother-in-law, Judy (Roger) Johnston; father- in- law, Alan (Barb) Tubman; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and his furry companion of 14 years, Bear. Morris was predeceased by his grandparents, Mike and Mary Hrynenko and Andrew and Anne Fedorychka; as well as uncles, Andrew Hrynenko and Edward Mihilewicz. Morris continue to wear nice suits and drive big cars slow. The Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Both services will be held at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 684 3rd Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK. Donations in memory of Morris may be made to the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church or Victoria Hospital Foundation. Vichnaya Pamiat.
