Mona Adamson
1930 ~ 2025
Our hearts are heavy as we say farewell to our beloved mother. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by her dear husband, Dixon; and sister, Heather. She is survived by her children, Bruce (Janice), Sharon (Glenn), Mark (Zalika), Kirk; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jean (Larry), Jamie (Katherine).
Mum, a multi-tasking woman, worked 27 years at Eaton’s. She supported her parents, grandparents, and family with love, a ready smile, encouragement and advice. She had energy and sprit in retirement to open one of Prince Albert’s first B&Bs, “Lindsay House” rewarding her with new friends from around the world. Not to be idle, she and Dixon later built a cabin at Waskesiu Lake, enabling the family to share precious memories of great times together.
Mum loved a challenge, learning bridge at 80, sewed, knit, and enjoyed her garden. Best of all she was taught the art of pastry by her father producing delicious pies and mince tarts, which has been gratefully passed down to most of us. It is with great joy we speak of our mother, knowing we were loved and cared for, grateful for all she has given us. We now wish for her in this next journey to be as kind to her as she was kind in this life. What a wonderful human being.
Sweet dreams mum, you will always be in our thoughts and remembered with love. Online condolences may be left at https://www.arbormemorial.ca/en/riverpark/obituaries/mona-adamson/144193.html .
