Rudnicki, Michael Joseph
March 12, 1935-September 21, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden loss of our dear loved one, Mike, who passed away at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan at the age of 84 years.
Mike was a loving spouse, devoted father, grandfather, and a great friend to everyone he met. He was a man of Faith and enjoyed Sunday sermons at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Choiceland.
Mike was born in Smeaton, SK on March 12, 1935 to Joseph and Mary Rudnicki. He had wonderful memories growing up with his brother, Tony and his sisters, Louise, Francis, and Joyce on the family homestead.
Mike and Christina “Tina” (nee Praski) were married on October 10, 1970 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. They lived on the family farm near Smeaton where they remained until Mike’s passing.
Mike’s sense of humor, story-telling, kindness and generous heart touched many people throughout his life. He looked at the bright side of things and seldom complained. He enjoyed farming, playing ball, fishing, watching sports, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.
Thank you to all the great friends and family who reached out to extend support to Mike and Tina. Mike will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Tina; his four children and six grandchildren: his son: Michael (Lissa) Donavin, Darla and Tianna, his son: Curtis; his son: Mark (Angela), Logan and Kailey; and his daughter: Michelle (Warren) Shayle. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary; and sisters, Francis and Louise.
Funeral Mass will be held at the Smeaton Rec Centre on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Father DJ Vu as Celebrant.
