Micheal Alex Zmud

It is with great sadness that the family of Micheal Zmud announces his passing on October 8, 2024, at the age of 83.
Micheal was born and raised in the Alvena, Saskatchewan area. He moved to Yorkton at a young age, started a business, married, and welcomed four children into the world.
Life took many twists and turns for Micheal, including meeting his beloved wife of 32 years, Sandra “Sandi” Zmud, in Saskatoon. Sandi brought three children into their blended family, which grew into several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Micheal will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Sandi; her three children: Michele (Kent) Froese-Ross, Jason (Catherine) Froese, and Cory Froese; as well as his own children: Michelle Sept, Jaci Fox (Darcy), Carrie Salzl (Keith), and Rob Zmud; he also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored him.
Micheal was predeceased by his parents and five sisters.
A quiet man, Micheal was known for his hard work and deep passion for his faith and service with the Lions Club. In recent years, he faced health challenges and spent his final days at the Shellbrook Long Term Care Home, where he passed peacefully.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Shellbrook Long Term Care Home for their patience and compassionate care. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Micheal to either the Shellbrook & Districts Health Services Foundation – Long Term Care (Box 33, Shellbrook, SK S0J 2E0), Alzheimer’s Society of Saskatchewan (301-2550-12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1), or to a charity of the donors choice.
