Michael “Mike” Wytosky, SR
(August 1, 1923 – August 4, 2011)
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of a dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather – Mike Wytosky on Thursday, August 4, 2011.
Mike is survived by his wife of 50 years Louise; his daughter Helga (Rick) Robertson of BC; his son Ron (Marie) Letendre of Prince Albert; his son Brian (Charlene) Letendre of Prince Albert; his son Michael “Buck” Wytosky of Prince Albert; his daughter Darlene (Gary) Vennard of Prince Albert; his daughter Pauline (Fred) Pischke of Prince Albert; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister Mary Bilokryli of ON; his sister Rose (Jim) Petrovich of BC; his brother Cullin (Kasandra) Tanner of Saskatoon; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Rose Sicotte; his parents Andrew and Annie Wytosky; his siblings Peter and Harry in infancy, Stanley, Pauline, Joe, John, Alex, Jim, Nick and Bill.
Mike was born and raised in Strong Pine, SK. The Military was a big part of Dad’s life, the Royal Canadian Artillery, plus the Air Cadets. He was a life time member of the Anavets and Royal Canadian Legion. His interests and hobbies included collecting and fixing guns; machine work, welding and carpentry. Mike later became a carpenter by trade, and then a Business Representative for the Carpenters Union until his retirement in 1983. Dad took great pride in his work, it had to be perfect. Throughout his life he lived in different cities until settling in Prince Albert. Family was an important part of his life and will be sadly missed by all.
Public Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Both services will be held at the Scarborough Baptist Church, 2650 – 6th Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Gerry Wortman officiating. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
