He is survived by his loving family, his parents, Patricia & Michael Merasty; his grandparents, Norma & Simon Cook, Marilyn Merasty; his chapans, Hilda C., Rose B., George C., Larry C., Ernest C., Clara, Helen, Frances, Wanda Ch., Suzette (Elias), Gladys, Linda (Henry), Verna (Pat), Maurice, Rose Dorion, Arnold (Nancy), Adam Sr (Lucy); his aunts & uncles, Simon (Nikki), April (Dave), Marcella (Thurston), Carl (Carla),Moise (Patrice), Lisa (Benson), Bernard (Jenelle), Felix (Keranne), Tissa, Anne Marie (Nayton), Angela (Lanny), Numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, grandparents, the Dorion family, the Cook family, and Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Chief & Council, Delivery in Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

He was predeceased by, his sister, Paislynn Cook; his brother, Michaelsson Merasty; his grandfather, Adam Merasty, David Sewap, Bruce Thunderchild; his chapans & grandparents, Gabriel & Cecilia Dorion, Moise Cook, Hector & Diane Ballantyne, Madeline & John Paul Custer, Eli Custer, Susan Custer, Louis Custer, Bernice Custer, Jimmy (Sugar) Custer, Baptiste & Jean Cook, J.B. Dorion, Bernice Custer, and Martha Linklater.

The Prayer Service for Michael Jr., will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, November 25, 2022, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The Wake Services will be held the evening of Friday, November 25, 2022, at Patricia & Michael Merasty’s Residence in Pelican Narrows, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, in Pelican Narrows, SK., with Father Heinner Paucar, OMI officiating.
