With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Merv on January 16, 2019.

Mervin was born in Humboldt in 1958 to James and Florianna Lukan.

He is survived by his Wife, Janet (nee Wicks) from Prince Albert SK; Sons, Jeremy (Kelsi) from Prince Albert, SK and Myles from Prince Albert, SK; Grandchildren, Jalen, AJ, Maggie, Jackson and Hudson.  Merv was blessed with a large family; also mourning his passing are his Mother-in-law, Edna Miller from Prince Albert SK; Father-in-law, Norman (Colleen) Wicks from Speers, SK; Brothers: Gregory (Helen) from St. Walburg, SK; Neil (Karen) from Humboldt, SK; Garry (Linda) from Melfort, SK; Keith (Staci) from Saskatoon, SK; Francis (Angie) from Langham, SK; Dean (Gail) from Prince Albert, SK; Patrick (Maureen) from Grand Prairie, AB and Calvin (Jeannie) from Humboldt, SK;  Sisters: Helen (Marvin) Martinka from Christopher Lake, SK; Sharon (George) Baran from Saskatoon, SK and Norma (Curtis) Emde from Carsland, AB; Brothers-in-law Grant (Charlene) Wicks from Saskatoon, SK and Chuck Wicks from Prince Albert, SK as well as numerous other extended family.

Mervin was predeceased by his Mother, Florianna (Wourms) and Father, James.

Merv was a journeyman mechanic in Nipawin, Tisdale, Prince Albert and McArthur River.

His passions included Snowmobiling, Lake Life, Solving other people’s mechanical problems, but most precious was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Parish at 260 – 25 Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Father DJ Vu officiating.  A private interment will take place at a later date.
