Mervin Kenneth Ballantyne “Pīpīsīs – Wizrd” was born on Wednesday, May 6, 1953 in Flin Flon, MB and passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 63 years. Mervin is survived by his loving family, his wife, (Rose) Leona Sally Ballantyne, his children, Debra (Douglas), Gerald (BJ), Jeremy (Fanny), John Paul, Sonya (Chad), Tyrone, Lucianne (Tyson), Ryan (Vera), Timothy (Sam) and Destiny (Vernon), his adopted children, Amaris McCallum, Ryan Ballantyne and Tyrone Ballantyne Jr., his brothers and sisters, Noah, Alex, Gordon, Frances (Leland), Betty-Lou, Doreen, Madeline and Donna, his adopted brothers and sisters, Angus Sewap, Hubert Bear and Lorna Bear, and his aunties, Madeline Linklater, Josephine Ballantyne and Lizzette Olsen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Annie Ballantyne, his in-laws, Madeline and John P. Custer, Eli Custer, Louie Custer and Susan Custer, his aunties, Angus Cook and Eliza Ballantyne, his uncles, Albert Ballantyne, Jacob Ballantyne and Philip Ballantyne, his sister, Virginia Anderson, and his nieces and nephews, Pamela Ballantyne, Shirley Ballantyne, Annie Ballantyne, Roseanne Ballantyne, Jordan Anderson, Steven Ballantyne, Moses Ballantyne, Chris Custer, Kimberly Custer, Stanley Custer, Harry John Custer and Lester Custer. Wake services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at River Park Funeral Home in Prince Albert, SK, Margaret Ferchuk officiating, and continued Tuesday, December 20, 2016 and Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Pelican Narrows, SK. Mervin’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church in Pelican Narrows, SK. Interment to follow at Moise Bear Memorial Gardens in Pelican Narrows, SK.
