The family is saddened to announce the passing of Maurice Edward Nelson, late of Prince Albert, SK formerly of Montreal Lake First Nation, SK on December 12^th, 2025, at the age of 59 years. Maurice was born January 11^th, 1966, in LaRonge, SK to Christian and Clara Nelson. Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Clarissa Nelson; his grandchildren Shaylee Nelson, Brielle Savoie, & Ainsley Mae Savoie; his siblings Randy (Louise), Linda (Medrick), Sidney (Dorothy), Shirley, Donald (Rhonda), Gordon (Lori Ann), Annette (Pat), Garette, Mavis, & Waylon; his special son Harry Hansen; his beloved nieces & nephews; his beloved great nieces & great nephews; his aunts Rebecca Sorenson, Yvonne McDonald, & Marlene Nelson; as well as numerous cousins. Maurice was predeceased by his son Ryan Natomagan-Nelson (July 9, 2013); his parents Christian & Clara Nelson; his grandparents Frank & Mary Nelson, Amelia Bird, & Fred Hennie; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. A Wake Service will be commencing on Monday, December 15^th at 7PM till Tuesday, December 16^th, 2025, at 7PM at the Weyakwin Community Hall in Weyakwin, SK. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 17^th, 2025, at 11AM at the Weyakwin Community Hall and St Michael and all Angels Anglican Church, in Weyakwin, SK. The Officiants are Bishop Adam Halkett, Rev. Deacon Trevor Roberts, & Rev. Harry Halkett. |The Honourary Pallbearers are Randy Nelson, Robert Nelson, Sidney Nelson, Donald Nelson, Dirk McDonald, Gordon Nelson, Darryl Nelson, Lance McDonald, Steven Sorenson, Medrick Thomas, Patrick Dreaver, and all those who shared in Maurice’s life. The Pallbearers are Randall Natomagan, Stanley Nelson, Sean Nelson, Christian (Joey) Nelson, Jonathan Thomas, Gerry Thomas, Nigel Nelson, Kyle Nelson, Austin Nelson, Evan Simnot, Judd Nelson, Garette Nelson, Delaney Head, & Leon Sorenson.
