Maureen Rousson

Maureen Anne Rousson, late of Prince Albert, SK, sadly passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert, SK.
Maureen was born January 16, 1945, to Leo and Anne O’Connell. In 1963 she married Bert Rousson and together they raised two sons Dave and Dan and a daughter Candace. Unfortunately Candace passed away in 2000 followed by Bert in 2003.
In 2004 Maureen retired after over 30 years of working in various departments in the Victoria Hospital and started enjoying traveling to Mexico, the Caribbean, and into Europe.
In 2014 Maureen was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She was able to stay in her home for another 2.5 years with the help of her son Dave. She then moved into Riverbreeze Retirement Complex for 7.5 years before spending the last few weeks at Rose Garden Hospice after being diagnosed with advanced cancer.
Maureen is survived by her sons Dave (Rayla), Dan (Deborah); sister Bonnie Iverson; grandchildren Samantha, Sarah, Brody, and Dylan; great-grandchildren Jayda, Addison, and Noah.
Maureen was predeceased by her husband Bert; daughter Candace; parents Leo and Anne O’Connell; in-laws Adelard and Toni Rousson; brother-in-law Rod Iverson.
A big thank you to Angie Kopera and her staff at Riverbreeze for the great care and friendship they showed Maureen during her 7.5 years living there. Also thank you to Dr. Halyk for everything he did for Maureen during her illness. To honor Maureen’s wishes no formal gathering will be held
