Matthew Wayne Kanigan was born on Tuesday, May 26, 1992, in Prince Albert, SK, and passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016, in Moose Jaw, SK, at the age of 24 years. Matthew will be lovingly remembered by his son, Noah Lee Wayne Kanigan, a special friend, Tara Gerard, his mother and step-dad, Sharon Kanigan and Steve Barth, his sister, Megan Kanigan (Tyler Bilsky), his nephews, Conner, Luke, and Blake, and his grandmothers, Shirley Piché and Linda Spence, as well as his numerous aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Tony Parenteau, his grandfathers, Ernest Piché and Lloyd Parenteau, his great-grandparents, Henry and Margaret Villeneuve, and George and Dorothy Parenteau, and his uncle Wayne Piché. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at River Park Memorial Chapel. Matthew’s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016, at St. Mark Roman Catholic Parish, Father Jim Kaptein officiating. Interment will follow at South Hill Cemetery.
