It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mathew Alfred Charles, late of Little Red Reserve, SK on March 11^th, 2026, in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 64 years. Mathew was born in LaRonge, SK on June 11^th, 1961, to Gilbert and Mary Charles. Mathew will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of 42 years: Gladys Charles (nee Naytowhow); his children Dallas Naytowhow, Lillian (Joshua) Wright, Mathew Jr. (Annie) Charles, Quinton (Megan) Charles, Kelly (John) Sanderson, Sophia (Braeden) Charles; his special grandson Pierce Sanderson; his 21 grandchildren Eden, Jesson, Dallas-Jade, Tristan, Seth, Nevaeh, Sasha, Gaberial, Janessa, Ariel, Belle, Delmare, Meadow, Dominique, Quinton Jr., Keanu, Rio, Aviora, Pierce, Rosa, & Vincent; 1 great grandson Leden; his special uncle Ernest Brown (Lorretta); his adopted children Wally Charles, Gilbert Charles, Edgar Charles, Clayton Charles, Bonnie Halkett, Tanya Bird, & Brandy Naytowhow; his siblings Richard (Wanda), Phillip (Sandra), David (Karen), Helen Settee, Rose Turner, Hazel Charles, Violet (Philip), Nancy, & Elsie (Sheldon) Ermine; his brother-in-law Roy Daniels; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Mathew was predeceased by his parents Gilbert & Mary Charles; his son Jeremy Charles; his brothers Thomas, Daniel, & Leslie; his sisters Betsy & Hannah; his grandparents Amelik & Lillian Halkett, Alphonse & Rose Charles; his in-laws Edwin & Lillian Naytowhow; his brothers-in-law Tony Naytowhow, Sandy Settee, & Francis Turner; his sister-in-law Valerie Naytowhow; his special cousin Roderick Thomas. A Wake Service will be held Friday March 13^th at the residence of Mathew & Gladys; Saturday & Sunday March 14 & 15 at the Little Red River School Gym in Little Red Reserve School Gym. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 16^th at 1:00PM at the Little Red River School Gym in Little Red Reserve, SK. The Officiants will be Bishop Adam Halkett & Rev Dec Trevor Roberts. The Interment will take place at Little Red Reserve Cemetery in Little Red Reserve, SK. The Lay Reader will be John Henry Charles. The Honourary Pallbearers are Dallas Naytowhow, Richard Charles, Mathew Jr. Charles, Phillip Charles, Quinton Charles, David Charles, Billy Charles, Dereck Charles, Sheldon Ermine, & Braeden Ternes.
