With profound sadness we announce the passing of Mary Senchyna, a loving and devoted mother, and Baba on Sunday, November 22, 2020, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 84 years. Mary was born on Friday, January 3, 1936, in Ituna, SK, to Michael and Julia Pihowich.

She was a beloved wife to the late Ernie Senchyna, who she met and married in June 1956. The two farmed together in Tarnopol, SK, for 25 years until Ernie passed away in 2003 with Mary by his side.

Mary was an admired mother to son, Ron (Renee) Senchyna; daughter, Judy Merkely; and a proud Baba to grandchildren, Steffen and Emilee Senchyna.
She loved to cook, be outside, and loved spending time with her family & friends. A farm girl at heart, gardening was also her passion, where she loved planting and growing magnificent flowers and vegetables.

Most of all she loved her family. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Вічная пам’ять.

Mary leaves behind her two children, two grandchildren, three sisters, one brother, as well as with many nieces, nephews and friends.

The Funeral Service for Mary will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 684 3rd Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK, The Reverend Father Michael Lomaskiewicz officiating, with interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
