Mary Pocha

Mrs. Mary Pocha late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away peacefully at the Victoria Hospital on December 26th, 2021. Mary was a loving wife and as well a caring mother.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Annette Maier (Oliver McLeod), her sons Darren (Monica) Pocha and Todd Pocha, stepson Jeff (Alana) Crain, her grandchildren Madison, Maria and Hayden Pocha, August, Colby, Bryce and Teagan Crain, her sisters and brothers Theresa Malboeuf, Anne Malboeuf, Cheryl Ogram, Loni Longclaws, Rachel Bernadette Deroche, Joanne Genialle, Gordon Malboeuf, Roderick Malboeuf, Francis Larocque, Barry Richardson, Laura Francis, Mary Jane Malboeuf, Jamie Dahlgren and numerous nephews and nieces. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years Dennis Pocha, her biological parents Ernestine McCallum Malboeuf and William Durocher, sibling Gilbert Maurice and other loving family members.
Mary was born Jan. 24, 1954 in lle a la Crosse, Saskatchewan, but was resided mainly in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan until her passing. She met and fell in love in the month of September 1968 when she met her soon to be partner in life (Dennis Pocha) and later got married in July 1978. Mary at an early age of 36 became extremely ill and was later discovered and diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis which made her bed ridden for numerous years of her life. Mary overcame many obstacles in her life and faced numerous surgeries that were needed as her bones and joints slowly deteriorated. However, facing many hardships in life she was a loving and caring mother to her two sons Darren and Todd Pocha, and as well she loved the company of friends, family, nieces, nephews, and her grandchildren. It truly brightened up her life when she found out she was going to be a grandmother and gave her something else to look forward to. She always loved her grandchildren and loved spoiling them to pieces whenever she could.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her husband Dennis and they loved going out to Little Red River Park and having picnics together and as well going garage sailing, playing bingo and attending the Northern Lights Casino, spending countless hours listening and talking to her sons, nieces, nephews, sisters, or to anyone who needed an ear to simply listen to. Mary will be remembered as she truly had a heart of gold which nobody could ever replace. She was a loving aunt, a caring friend, and an irreplaceable mother to her children.
A special thank you to the Maier family who adopted and raised Annette as their own. Mary will be forever grateful to them for raising such a beautiful young lady. Mary will forever be missed by her family and friends; at this time the family has decided to wait for spring to have a celebration of Mary’s life which will be posted at a later date.
