Mary Jane Yooya passed away on June 18th, 2026, in Stony Rapids, SK at the age of 85 years. Mary Jane was born in Fire Drake Lake, SK on November 1st, 1940, to Louis & Thomas Disain. Mary Jane will be lovingly remembered by her children John Yooya, Georgina (Jerry) Pische, Martin Yooya, Vincent Yooya, Steven Yooya, Jeanette Yooya, Bernadette Yooya, Marie Yooya, Dora Yooya, Jimmy Yooya; her grandchildren Jana, Myranda, Jonna, Rhonda, Beatrice, Marshall, Shauna, Myles, Eugene, Gina, Ernest, Eugena, Jerome, Ewan, Janice, Jonathan, Janet, Joanna, Jeana, Jackie, Janaiah, Maryn, Marylynn, Maynin, Maylee, Marianna, Myles, Lyle, Kadin, Kerstie, Jeana, Jacy, Gino, Gia, Sharmine, Ethen, Shilynn, Connor, Ariel, Macy, Myra, Kerry, Keyra, Sharney, Shaylene, Maria,& Mackenzie; her 49 grandchildren; her 3 great grandchildren; her siblings Louie (Mary Louis) Disain, Florence (John) Mercredi, Bernadette (Steve) Sharp; & her best friends Dora Broussie & Helen Boneleye. Mary Jane was predeceased by her husband Moise Yooya; her parents Louis & Thomas Disain; her brothers Victor D, Boniface D, & Alphonse D; her brothers-in-law William, Elmare Yooya, Louie Jimmy Yooya.

A Wake Service will be commencing Monday June 22nd, 2026, at the residence of Jeanette Yooya in Black Lake, SK.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 24th, 2026, at 2PM at Our Lady of the Cape Roman Catholic Church in Black Lake, SK with Father Edmundo Caballero officiating.

The Honourary Pallbearers are Delwin Robillard, Annie Bigeye, Celine Kasagan, Helen Robillard, Karol Disain, Pacey Disain, Jackie Hale, Mary MacDonald, Becky Boneleye, Helen Throassie and all those who shared in Mary Jane’s life. The Pallbearers are Jimmy Yooya, John Yooya, Steven Yooya, Martin Yooya, Eugene Yooya, & Vincent Yooya. The Interment is taking place at the Black Lake Cemetery, Black Lake, SK.
