After a brief illness Mary passed away peacefully, January 18, 2011 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Born in Poland, Mary and her family immigrated to Canada where they farmed in the Paddockwood District. Mary is survived by her two sons, Jerry (Eileen) of Saskatoon, SK and Ron (Carol) of Ardrossan, AB; her son Peter’s longtime partner Stella Bellerose of Edmonton, AB; her beloved grandchildren Sheldon (Robin), Jaeleen (Jamie), Shannon, Todd, Cindy, Amanda (Steve), Mary Anne (Douglas) and Michael (Tatum); she also enjoyed her great grandchildren and was a loving “Baba” to all. Mary is also survived by her brothers Peter (Pat), John and Don (Lynn); her sisters Stella and Natalie. Auntie Mary’s many nieces and nephews had a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her husbands Mike Krasowski and John Gill and her parents Ksenya and Pete Toporowski; as well as her eldest son Peter Krasowski; her grandson Kenton Krasowski; her daughter-in-law Dorothy Krasowski; her brother Stan Toporowski and her sister Helen Stringer. Mary was a hard working lady all her life and a most wonderful cook. She enjoyed her family, friends, seniors group, garden and flowers. One of her greatest joys was when her family was altogether. Her guidance, love and humour will continue to stand us all in good stead. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Mr. Brian Clarke officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations in Mary’s name may be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
