Mary Dunn passed from this life on January 15, 2012. Mary was born at Kinistin Reserve, SK on October 25, 1937. She was the daughter of Fred & Nugazio (Nugeezio) Scott, sister to Flossie, Freda, Julie and Sadie.
Mary married Donald Parker Dunn on November 24, 1953. Nine children were born to this union; Joseph, Linda, Lorena, Margaret, Theresa, Donnie, Edwin, Violet, Christine, as well as Linda’s daughter Lisa, whom she raised as her own. Through their married life Mary & Donnie lived many places but Pleasantdale was always home. Mary always did what she could for her children while they were growing up; sewing, baking, crafts and quilting for home or to sell helping make a better home for her family. She took pride in her home and family. As her children started having children of their own, Mary’s pride extended to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed being with her family and being able to do things with them and for them. She also started doing more for herself by playing Bingo, travelling and recently going to the casino. In 2010 she travelled to Winnipeg to her granddaughter’s wedding, Theresa Nordman where she was able to meet all of Margaret’s grandchildren. This was the first time meeting these great grandchildren as they live a great distance away.
In October she took her first plane ride to Whitehorse, Yukon to meet the newest grandchild, Liam, the son of Christine & Greg Pottie and big sister Maddie.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Donald Dunn, two children Fredrick Donald and Linda Elaine, three sisters Flossie Baffalo, Julie Haley and Freda Chunyk.
Mary is survived by one sister Sadie Jimmy and by seven children; Joseph Gerald, Marylin Lorena (Rory), Margaret Rita (Danny), Theresa Marie (Terry), Edwin Robert (Joseph), Violet Inez (Phillip), Lisa Lynn and Christine (Greg). Shi is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a large extended family.
