Mark Wayne Monsebroten was born December 14th 1960, to Harold and Alma Monsebroten in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Mark loved the outdoors, animals, plants, hunting, fishing, and trapping. He started trapping and hunting at a young age. He even got caught skipping school to go duck hunting. In 1996, Mark was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic eye condition that causes the retina to deteriorate. Despite his diagnosis, he continued his dream of a trapline and outdoor adventures, helping people with his holistic knowledge up until his death, and he would be proud that we are carrying on his legacy of knowledge. Mark was blessed with 3 daughters, Megan (Michael Doerksen) Grandsons, Dominic, Connor and Blake of Wakaw, Courtney (Brian Topping) Grandsons Hunter and Oliver of Spruce Home, and Bailey of Regina. In January of this year, Mark was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, and unfortunately lost his battle on July 18th, with Megan and Michael by his side. He leaves behind, his daughters, His mother Alma of Prince Albert, his Sister Penny (Neal Hammond) of Red Deer Hill, Nephews Ryan (Val) their son Leo of Edmonton, and Wade (Desirae) their children Paisley, Pailyn and Lennon of Red Deer Hill Neice Lindsay (Tom Allman) their children Emily, William and Lily of Rural Prince Albert. He was predeceased by his Father Harold in 2010, his Aunt Rosie in 2018, and his special therapy dog, Washi earlier this year. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Canadian National Institute of the Blind. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kushneryk Funeral Service, Wakaw, SK, 1-306-233-4403.
