Marjorie Thoen

Marjorie “Marj” Elsie Thoen, 96 years, of Weldon Country Villa, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020, in Prince Albert, SK. She had been in palliative care at the Victoria Hospital, in Prince Albert, for the past 25 days.

Marj and her husband, Ed, farmed at Birch Hills and raised their three children there. She resided on the farm until life on the farm was not possible.

Marj is survived by her daughter, Elsie (Larry), and their sons, Trevor and Brent; her son, Allan (Estelle), and their sons, Damon and Avery; her daughter, Brenda (Christopher), and their children, Dustin and Nicole; and her 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ed.

She was a wonderful, caring lady, who was loved by all who knew her. She was the supporting force of her family, and will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marj’s memory to the Weldon Country Villa, Box 220, Weldon, SK, S0J 3A0. The funeral service for Marj will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, September 11, 2020, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, Pastor Duane Mohn officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Family and friends wanting to attend the funeral service, please call (306) 764-2727. Due to the CoVid-19 restrictions, the family has decided not to have lunch after the interment.  The family will make a cash donation to the Weldon Country Villa in place of the light lunch.
