It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Marilyn at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon at the age of 56 years. Marilyn was born on December 8, 1955 in Prince George, BC to Rudy and Stella Serfas. In 1968 the family moved to Saskatchewan. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Ron; 3 sons, twins Aaron and Zachary, and Luke still at home in Buffalo Narrows, SK. Marilyn has 3 children from a previous marriage, Troy (Carrie) Roach and their son Joshua of Esterhazy, SK, Clint (Rachelle) Roach and their 2 sons Taylor and Kyle of Grande Prairie, AB, and Keri (Brad) Thorimbert and their children Brandon and Breanne of Lloydminster, SK. Marilyn is also survived by her mother Stella Serfas of Prince Albert, SK; her brother Robert (Linda) Serfas of Fort McMurray, AB and their daughter Tammy (Jerry) Cooper of Fort McMurray, AB and their grandchildren Brayden and Breanna; her brother Wayne (Jeannette) Serfas of Prince Albert, SK, and their children Kerry (Sheldon) Coates and children Keelan, Xander, Lachlan and Talon, and Derek (Brandi) Serfas and children Jayde, Zoey and Drake, Cole Boleski and Dylan Boleski; her sister Brenda (Norman) Unterberger of Kelowna, BC and their children Shawn (Krista) Serfas and children Abigail and Isaiah of Kelowna, BC, Taylor (Christine) Unterberger and their children Madison and Mason of Dalmeny, SK and Lindsay (Shawn) Pierson of Kelowna, BC; her sister Pat (Bob) Campbell of Strathmore, AB and their daughters Kali and Jenna; her sister Tracy (Philip) Serfas (Little) of Prince Albert, SK and their children Darnell and Jessica; her late brother Ron’s 2 children Theresa (Miquel) Munoz of Saskatoon, SK and Eric (Cecilia) Alexander of Prince Albert, SK and their children. Marilyn has 3 step-sons Dan (Julie) Paquette of Saskatoon, SK, Scott Paquette of Saskatoon, SK, and Maynard Thompson of Grande Prairie, AB and his children Mackenzie and Kassidy of Prince Albert, SK, daughter Kierstin of La Ronge, SK and son Jax of Grande Prairie, AB. Marilyn was predeceased by her father Rudy Serfas in 2002; and her brother Ron in 2006. Marilyn had many interests. She was a very good cook, always trying new recipes. She enjoyed her garden and flowers. Marilyn was a positive and spiritual lady. Most of all, she loved her family. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Rick Martin officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Crohn’s, Colitis Foundation of Canada, 1805 Ewart Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7H 2L1.
