It is with great sadness the family of Marie Rose Cook, late of Black Lake, SK announces her passing on March 10^th, 2022, at the age of 83 years. Marie was born in the Northwest Territories on August 5^th, 1938. Marie will be lovingly remembered by her children Margaret Cook, Jimmy (Rose) Cook, Rose (Ray) MacDonald, Albert (Yvonne), Sharon, & Victor (Therese) Echodh; her grandchildren Jordan, Cheryl (Terry), Crystal (Travis), Bradley (Tricia), Jenny, Brent (Cristen), Robert (Tina), Raymond (Brandy), Gared, Victoria, Joleen, Jody, Abby, Megan, Janice, Merenda, Joey, & Jared, Steven (Jackie), Dennis (Rhonda), & Kevin (Iris); her great grandchildren Dustin, Jayden, Deanna, Cherelle, Christian, Tristian, Trenton, Branthany, Branna, Chyler, Trixie, Trent, Brently, Jacey, Adam, Matthew, Liam, Robbie, Raylene, & Ruby; her daughter-in-law Emily Cook; her sister-in-law Nelda Cook; her godson Alphonse (Theresa) Donard; her close friends Dora Broussie, MaryJane Yooya, Annie Bigeye, Elsie Skull, Ermeline Mercredi, MaryJane McDonald, Honorine Mercredi, Celine Kasagan, & Florence MacDonald, Helen Boneleye; as well as all her nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her husband Joe Cook; her son Malvin Cook; her great-grandchildren Lacy Cook & Robin Alphonse MacDonald; her parents Moise (Victoria Echodh); her brothers Lazar Echodh & Noel Echodh; her sister Anne (Augustine) Stalthanee; her nieces & nephews Marie Donard, Jimmy Sandypoint, & Jeanette Cook; her parents-in-law Gabriel (Madeline) Cook; her brothers & sisters-in-law Patrice (Meline) Cook, John (Madeline) Cook, Alfred (Marie) Germaine Cook, Leon Cook, Antoinete (Jimmy) Donard, & Norbert (Laura) Cook; as well as numerous uncles, aunties, cousins, & friends. A Wake Service will be commencing Monday, March 14^th, 2022, at the residence of Jimmy & Rose Cook in Black Lake, SK. A Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of the Cape Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 16^th, 2022, at 2 PM in Black Lake, SK. The Officiant will be Father Paul Oshin. Marie’s Honourary Pallbearers are Cheryl & Terry Boneleye, Janice Cook, Tricia Cook, Jenny Cook, Yvonne Cook, Crystal Boneleye, Megan Cook, Sharon Cook, Merenda Cook, & Rose MacDonald. Marie’s Pallbearers are Raymond Jr MacDonald, Jimmy Cook, Jordan Cook, Albert J. Cook, Robert MacDonald, Brent Cook, Steven Echodh, Travis Boneleye, Albert Cook, Richard Cook, Ray MacDonald, Dave Cook, Gared MacDonald, Moise Sandypoint, Jared Cook, Bradley Cook, Dennis Echodh, & Kelvin Echodh. The Interment will take place at Black Lake Cemetery in Black Lake, SK.
