MARGUERITE BRANGER
Marguerite passed away peacefully in Birch Hills, SK on September 30, 2016 after a long life of 99 years. Her parents moved from France and settled in the Hoey area where she and her brother, Jean, were both born. Marguerite and Jean were life-long companions. She was raised in a small farmhouse with no running water or sewer. She and her brother farmed together with their parents and after their parents passed away, Marguerite and Jean took over the home and farm and continued to raise cattle and farm grain. In the late 1990’s the family farm was sold and Marguerite and her brother moved into Prince Albert. Marguerite lived in Marquis Towers for a number of years in her retirement and eventually moved with Jean to the Birchview Nursing Home in Birch Hills where she resided until her passing. Marguerite was well liked by the staff and residents and will be sadly missed. Marguerite was saddened by the passing of her brother in December of 2014. She was also predeceased by her parents Jean Baptiste and Marie Louise (nee Pierzo) Branger. She was born on January 31, 1917 in St. Louis, SK. At Marguerite’s request, no funeral service will be held. Interment of cremated remains took place on October 24, 2016 in the Garden of Gethsemane, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Thank you to the Birchview Nursing Home for their warmth and caring towards Marguerite. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 306-764-2727, Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director
