The family of Margaret Wotherspoon announce her peaceful passing at the Pineview Terrace Lodge in Prince Albert on June 8, 2012. Margaret was born at Vonda, Saskatchewan to Edward and Nora (Rostad) Campbell. She graduated from high school in Melville and went on to a year in nursing school in Winnipeg. She enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in September, 1943. She was stationed at Pat Bay, BC as a Leading Air Woman and was honourably discharged on Nov. 15, 1945. Margaret attained her teacher's certificate and taught school in Melville rural school district. She married John Wotherspoon July 28, 1949 and together they raised five children on the family farm. They left the farm in 1972 to work in The Pas, Manitoba, then to Prince Albert in 1975 and then to Regina in 1976 where they lived until they retired to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in 1988. Margaret was a devoted farm wife and mother. Many hours were spent knitting, baking, gardening or running the combine and tractor when it got busy. She often mentioned that her happiest times were spent on the farm with her family. Margaret and Johnny were noted for their camping and travelling from coast to coast. Margaret also travelled to New Zealand and Great Britain. Margaret was pre-deceased by John her husband of 41 years, her parents Ed and Nora Campbell, her brothers: Allan and Lloyd; and sisters: Ainslie (Wotherspoon) and Shirley (Stiglitz); her father and mother in-law: William and Amelia (Wyburn) Wotherspoon; sister-in-laws: Amelia (Busch) and A. Mae (Senft); brother-in-laws: Louis Busch, Ernest Senft, Eric Stiglitz, and, Hugh Wotherspoon; grandchildren: Chris Lord and Sarah Wotherspoon; and nephew: Allan Busch; and niece Gay (Senft) Green. She is survived by her children: Allan and Veronica (Stokalko); Murray and Bev (Tilford); Dorothy Kerwin (nee Wotherspoon); Bruce and Pat (Fulmore); Blair and Sherry (Balicki). Margaret is also survived by her brother Bryon (Maryann) Campbell of Swift Current. She is also survived by numerous grand-children, nieces and nephews. A Visitation will take place 7:00-9:00 PM, Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the the Mackenzie Chapel 130-9th Street East, Prince Albert. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church 310-27th Street West, P.A., Pastor R. Mensch presiding. Interment will follow the service at Memorial Gardens, Highway #2, south of P.A. Lunch will follow immediately after the service at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 2, 133-8th Street East, P.A. The Family wish to thank all of the staff at the Pineview Terrace Lodge for the wonderful care they provided Mom in her last years.
