Margaret was born on August 28, 1949 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She passed away peacefully at her home in Prince Albert on January 14, 2015.
Margaret located to Saskatoon in 1966 and soon met the love of her life Carl Stonehouse. They married in the fall of 1967 and together were blessed with three beautiful children, Robert, Laurel and William.
Margaret was a warm hearted very caring person who deeply touched everyone who knew her. She was affectionately referred to as Mama by all who knew her, as she treated everyone she met as one of her own. Her passion for life and love led her to work as a teachers assistant within the inner city school system, then moving on to become the Assistant Director of the Friendship Inn. Later on she worked as an addictions counselor with her final years being spent with her granddaughter Miranda, providing a home based day care for preschool children.
Margaret’s unwavering belief in God and commitment to Biblical teachings helped guide her through the life she celebrated as well as providing her strength during the trials and tribulations she endured. All of Margaret’s family, children, grandchildren and friends find solace that she is now together with her beloved Miranda in heaven.
Mama will be deeply missed and forever loved by her entire family and all of those fortunate enough to have known her.
Visitation for Family and Friends was held at Cherished Memories Funeral Services, 591 Centennial Drive North, Martensville on Sunday, January 18, 2015 between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Cremation to follow. There will be a committal service for both Margaret and Miranda in the summer of 2015.
