It is with sad hearts and fond memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret, age 87, on November 17, 2010 at the Victoria Hospital. Mom was born July 25, 1923 in Winnipeg, MB moving with her husband and young family to Prince Albert in 1955. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Cecil and their six children Sandra (Jim) of Edmonton, Renee (Dean) of Nanaimo, Susan (Barry) of Kamloops, Jak of Toronto, Patrick (Karyn) of Kitchener and Christine (Phil) of Calgary; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Edna and parents Harry Victor and Margaret Louise Winterburn. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Mom enjoyed working in her garden, canning and baking. Her life’s work was to create a warm and loving home for her family. Margaret was a dedicated past member of the Prince Albert Chapter of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron and Secretary for many years. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of other tributes, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
