It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, Margaret Martha McWilliams (nee Reilly), on Thursday, January 16, 2020, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 91 years.
Margaret was born Tuesday, November 20, 1928, in Spy Hill, SK, to George and Maggie (nee Bell) Reilly. Margaret and Floyd McWilliams married on March 5, 1948, and they raised their family in Prince Albert.
Margaret worked at Woolworth’s Department Store for 30+ years, did numerous jobs, and made many friends along the way. She was an exceptional seamstress, creating wedding dresses, and doing alterations to clothing. She also enjoyed to decorate cakes and to create flower arrangements for any occasion. She was an avid gardener with an amazing green thumb, and her yard blossomed from April to September, with barely a weed in sight.
Margaret also loved hockey and curling. Margaret and Floyd had season tickets for the Prince Albert Raiders for many seasons and rarely missed a game. They even followed the Raiders on a road trip! Margaret didn’t miss a curling bonspiel. If she had to go somewhere, she recorded the bonspiel to watch when she got home.
She loved her family more than anything, and she spent countless hours with friends and family hosting everyone at her place, no matter the occasion. She looked forward to her weekly outings for coffee and fries with Barb and Ella, as well as cruising the mall. Margaret had a heart of gold, and was truly loved by everyone who knew her.
