It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Louise Bruns announce her passing on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern, SK, at the age of 87 years. Margaret was the third of five children born to Gustav and Gretchen Bruns. Margaret was raised in the Cater District, and later moved to Prince Albert for the remainder of her life. She enjoyed being cashier at the Kresge’s, Kaufmann’s, Rowes Rexall Drugstore, and later at the Cinema IV Theatre, where she got to know many people. When she was in better health she enjoyed going to church as her relationship with God was important to her. She was very loving and kind and loved spending time with and spoiling her three granddaughters. She also enjoyed going for long walks, riding her bike, baking and gardening.
The family of Margaret Bruns wish to thank all the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Victoria Hospital, Nelson Care Home, and finally at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern for their care and compassion. Margaret is lovingly remembered by her son Randy, and his daughters Krista (Freddy) and children, Zoey, Brennan and Alleah; Mellisa (Josh); Jaclyn (Danny) and children, Vincent and Xander; her siblings Ernie (Jean) Bruns and Lily (John) Urban; her nieces and nephews Shirley; Debra; Myles and Marlyce; Dawn Marie and Michelle. Margaret is predeceased by her parents Gustav and Gretchen Bruns; her sisters Pauline (Jim) Bovair and Mary (Bill) Franks; her daughter-in-law Sheral Bruns; and her nephew Bob Bovair. At Margaret’s request there will be a private family service in the Spring. Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit http://www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.
