Marcel Fauchoux
March 17, 1944 ~ June 17, 2023

Marcel Patrick Fauchoux, passed away peacefully at Mont St Joseph Home, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 79 years. He was born on March 17, 1944 in Weirdale, Saskatchewan, to Marcel Sr. and Louise (née Lesperu). Shortly after the family moved to a farm near St. Louis, SK. This was where Marcel grew up and spent his life around the St. Louis area.

Marcel met and married Donna (née Halcro). Together they raised three children, Lisa, Michael (Trina), and David (Lee-Anne). Marcel is also survived by his two granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren, Larissa Volek (Cody) Anika & Oliver, Jessica Kohle (Shawn), Emily & Kaden; two sisters, Maria Fauchoux, Louise Dussault (Don); mother-in-law, Iona Lepine; his brothers and sisters-in-laws, Richard (Avis), Brent, Darrell (Barbara), Laurille, Wayne, Roxane; God child, Sonya; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Marcel was predeceased by his parents, Marcel Sr. and Louise (née Lesperu); father-in-law, Russell Lepine; and sister-in-law, Agnes.

Marcel was an iron worker by trade and worked many winters away from home from Cassiar, BC, to Thompson, MB. He farmed for a time and was widely known for his welding and inventive ability, having fabricated many different farm machines over the years. This ingenuity and ambition included having built a large articulated four-wheel drive tractor for its era, as well as engineering the first air seeder in the area which weren’t a common site for another 20 years.

The Celebration Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Mont St. Joseph Home, in Prince Albert, SK. Interment at the St. Louis cemetery at a later date.
