Malcolm Simon Charles “German” was born on Wednesday, November 30, 1938, in Potato River, SK, and passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at the age of 77 years. Malcolm is survived by his loving family, his adopted children, Jay Ross, Josephine “Joker” Ross (Fred Lariviere), William Roberts, and Serena Ross, his grandchildren, his friend and companion, Mary E. Ross, his brother, Gregg (Barb) Charles, his sisters, Elsie May McKenzie, and Rema (Leslie) Halkett, and his nephews, Adam Joe Ross, and Charlie Ross, as well as numerous other nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Harriet (nee Ross) Charles, his parents, Adam and Betsy (nee Eninew) Charles, his brothers, George, Abraham, Cecil, and Norman Charles, his sister, Emily Fanny Merasty, his nephews, Stephen Thomas Charles, and Fenton Bruce Charles, his nieces, Rema Cook, Rita McKenzie, and Christina McKenzie, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Solomon and Maryann Ross, and his brother-in-law, Gilbert McKenzie. A wake service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016, at Kitsaki Hall in La Ronge, SK. Malcolm’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at the All Saints Anglican Church in La Ronge, SK, Reverend Richard Custer officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery in La Ronge, SK.
