Lyla Rogers, beloved wife of Harold, passed away peacefully in Saskatoon with family by her side on November 18, 2025 at 80 years of age.

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Lyla’s passion and devotion to her family was on display every day as she loved her family immensely and had a gift to make everyone feel loved and valued.

Lyla was born in Grandview, Manitoba to Lyle and Nora Rice and was the eldest of seven children. Lyla was predeceased by her father and mother, Lyle (Nora) Rice, brother Graham Rice, sister Allison Rice, sister in-law Valerie Rice and brother in-law George Rogers.

Lyla leaves behind her loving husband and best friend Harold, who were married for 59 years. Together they had three children, Glenn, Scott (Nicole) and Kent (Lisa) and was blessed with grandchildren Lincoln and Emerson. In addition to the immediate family mentioned above, Lyla also leaves the following to mourn her passing; Sister Donna Rice (Gerrard), Sister Marsha Marzoff, Brother Carther Rice, Brother Winston Rice, sisters in-law Phyllis Rogers and Eleanor Rice as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and great friends.

Lyla worked with CIBC for the majority of her career in a variety of roles within numerous branches and cherished the opportunity to meet so many great friends along the way.

Lyla also loved her sports as she thoroughly enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren play sports.

Lyla also loved to travel, with Hawaii, Penticton and New York being a few of her favourite destinations.

Lyla’s warmth, kindness and love for her family will always be remembered.

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and caregivers at St. Paul’s and Royal University Hospitals and Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre who cared for Lyla when her health was failing.
